We went to the department store to exchange a necklace and buy clothes for my brother before we headed to Lotte World. I haven't been there in a long time and my aunt and I rode a few rides and stuff. She screamed about how scary the rides were but they were still fun. There were a lot of couples, and a lot of them were wearing matching shirts and headbands with ears. Apparently matching couple accessories is all the rage. I realized that what's considered kind of tacky in the US is considered 'cute' in Korea. We stayed til late and I started feeling a little sick on our way back. I didn't think I could handle solid food so we just came back to her home and she ordered in.
We spent a good hour or so talking about things that seem to affect my living and sleeping habits, my personality, etc. and it was a good, long talk.
June 26, 2009 (Friday)
I woke up late (finally) and spent an hour or so talking to my brother and my parents via webcam. It was nice. I was helping my brother find last-minute restaurants for my parents' anniversary and my aunt got to speak to my mom for a little bit too. We planned on staying in because I was just so exhausted last night but we might go out and visit the school I'm moving into on Sunday (probably no blogging til then).
Later tonight I'm going to meet up with Sarah and her friends. It should be fun. She lives kind of far so it sucks because my youngest aunt is taking me there via all the metro transfers and then my oldest aunt is insisting on picking me up at midnight (lame!) because she doesn't want me getting into a taxi by myself at night, although I think it'll be fine. Whatever. It'll still be fun to hang out with Sarah for a few hours. I'll get to wear my new clothes and hopefully my new shoes that are supposed to come in today :).
