Bye-bye Korea...

So...the sunrise Saturday morning was beautiful and bittersweet. We said goodbye to Michael and I spent some time with Dong Hwa, he had to give me his "gift." After he left I finished packing and went downstairs to say goodbye to everyone. It didn't feel like I was leaving since I knew I was going to be at my grandma's house for another day, but it didn't stop the tears from forming when I saw everyone else crying.

I got my nails and toes done for the last time here, and during the facial massage before that I fell into such a deep sleep I didn't even notice the lady trimming my eyebrows with a knife...lol. Every time I closed my eyes in the car on the way back I'd fall asleep.

I'm all packed (again), but this time for home. It doesn't feel like I'm going home for some reason, maybe because I'm only going to be in Hawaii for 10 days, or maybe because Seoul has become my home after all this time. It feels weird to start thinking about Notre Dame again and my daily routines there and things waiting for me.

I know there are lots of things I didn't get to do in Korea while I was here and placed I didn't end up going. But I don't have any regrets because I know I did do a lot and go to a lot of places and I know I'll be back. Having family in a country kind of guarantees future visits :).

I want to issue personal letters and thank-yous to people I've met and gotten close to, but I don't want to leave anyone out and make them feel bad. So I will text who I can (those still around), and everyone should join the SISC group and post their contact info so I can write letters. Thanks for an awesome experience everyone! I miss you! <3
